Consultation
We discuss your unique situation to determine if bankruptcy is right for you. We discuss the different chapters of bankruptcy and decide which one is the best for your situation.
Document collection
We give you a checklist of required documents, you provide us with the documents, and we prepare your petition.
Signing appointment
We review your petition together, make any necessary changes, sign your petition, then file it with the court.
341 Meeting
You attend virtual court with Marcus Herbert to have a short meeting with the trustee to review your case. Creditors can, but don’t often, appear to ask questions.
Discharge
In Chapter 7 cases, you will receive a discharge order between 60 - 90 days after your 341 meeting. In Chapter 13 cases, you will receive a discharge on any remaining debt balances between six and eight weeks after making your plan's final payment. Once discharged, you no longer have a legal obligation to pay old debts, and the creditor has no right to collect.
